Thor: Kevin Feige and Chris Hemsworth are open to a future for the character

Marvel Studios boss and beefy actor want to give the Norse superhero another chance.

Thor is certainly one of the most iconic and appreciated characters of the Marvel Cinematic Universe: the Norse god of thunder, played by Chris Hemsworth (Tyler Rake, Spiderhead), made his debut within the universe of The House of Ideas in 2011, at the inside of Phase 1 of the Marvel Strategic Plan.

Well, over the years, the character has encountered several changes, and, especially with Thor: Ragnarok (2017), there have been some big changes. Now that Thor: Love and Thunder, also directed and written by Taika Waititi, is coming, many thought that the superhero was about to end his life on screen, but in reality, this aspect is not so obvious.

Thor: Love and Thunder arrives in cinemas on 7 July 2022

In fact, both Chris Hemsworth and Kevin Feige, current president of Marvel Studios, have hinted that they are open to any future development of the character. Specifically, in interviews reported by Heroic Hollywood, the two were particularly optimistic. In detail, Hemsworth said he loves Thor very much but is also ready to retire when the time is right to do so.

Whenever the opportunity presents itself and presents itself, I am simply open to any creative exploration that may happen, thanks to different writers and directors and so on. But I like playing the character, really. […] I’d like to go out before people tell me to go out.

The boss of The House of Ideas, however, relied on the fact that there are still so many stories of Thor that need to be explored and that could actually take hold on the big screen.

I know: there are many, many more Thor stories in the comics that we talk a lot about. And as we watch Chris Hemsworth continue to grow and evolve as a leading acting talent, I’d be thrilled to see how he continues to evolve this complex character.

The code name is FIREHOUSE ”.

An animated series for Netflix was also announced on the occasion of the celebration day of the franchise.

Ghostbusters: unveiled the working title of the awaited new film

Although the plot details of the new Ghostbusters movie have not yet been revealed, it seems confirmed that all the main cast of Afterlife (in Italy released under the title Legacy) will make its entrance in New York City for this next otherworldly adventure. Fantastic 4: Moon Knight producers hard at work on the highly anticipated Marvel project!

The duo behind the acclaimed series starring Oscar Isaac is planning to tackle the coveted reboot of Fantastic 4!

The Marvel Studios hierarchy is now a well-oiled machine. At the top, we find Kevin Feige, probably one of the most influential producers in Hollywood, under him the producers Victoria Alonso and Louis D’Esposito. Then comes the turn of longtime producers like Brad Winderbaum, Trinh Tran, Nate Moore, Jonathan Schwartz, Stephen Broussard, Eric Carroll, and many more.

Lastly, the group with the executive producers who have been assigned a new project. Examples are Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness – produced by Richie Palmer, on his first job as an accredited producer – and the latest Disney + Moon Knight series, produced by Grant Curtis and Nick Pepin. Comicbook.com has revealed that the duo behind the acclaimed series starring Oscar Isaac is planning to tackle the much-needed Fantastic Four reboot!

Moon Knight screenwriter Jeremy Slater revealed it during an interview with the well-known news site: “My producers in Moon Knight are the same who run Fantastic Four, so we talked about it a lot.” Slater was asked if he had lobbied Marvel for the coveted work as a screenwriter, due to his previous working relationship with the franchise (he had written the first draft of Josh Trank’s Fantastic Four flop, but only one of his lines. arrived in theaters).

“I don’t think the original Fantastic Four was my fault because I only have one line of dialogue in that movie. I think it’s the only line that’s left of my script, while everything else has been changed. So I don’t take much responsibility for how it turned out, but I understand that if they announce they’re making a new Fantastic Four movie, with the guy who wrote the one before, all Twitter can rise up and call us idiots. “

Regardless of how it turned out on the previous flop, Slater acknowledges that the project is now in the best possible hands at the House of Ideas: “Grant and Nick are extraordinary producers. They will find brilliant writers and directors. And they don’t need my presence in that project. As a fan, I can’t wait to see him, but I will never agree to get involved again, for very good reasons. I think there are some things I probably need to stay away from for the rest of my career. “

Thor: Love and Thunder: Taika Waititi tells the return of Jane Foster

In a recent interview, the well-known director talked about the reappearance of the love interest of the God of Thunder, who this time also wears a costume!

Thor: Love and Thunder seems to be one of the most curious and remarkable projects of Phase 4 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe: not only because one of the most appreciated authors of the universe of the House of Ideas returns to the control room, or Taika Waititi (What We Do in the Shadows, Jojo Rabbit) after his acclaimed work in Thor: Ragnarok (2017), but also because Jane Foster’s character (who has the face of Natalie Portman) unexpectedly wears a costume. This event, which also happened in the comics (in Jason Aaron’s The Mighty Thor run) hit fans enormously and this approach, of course, is particular for a cinecomic.

In a recent interview for Empire Magazine, Taika Waititi himself spoke about Jane Foster and the impact she has on the protagonist.

It’s been about eight years. She had another life, and then the love of your life comes back on the scene, and now she is dressed like you. It’s a real blast for Thor. I didn’t know we were going to use the Mighty Thor character plot until we started working out the actual story. I was writing and he was like, ‘Wouldn’t it be nice to bring Jane back into the plot?’

At the same time, you don’t want Natalie to come back and play the same character who walks around with scientific equipment. You know, as Thor flies around, she stayed on Earth, stamping her foot and saying, ‘When will she come back?’ It’s boring. You want her to be part of the adventure.

Thor: Love and Thunder is written by Waititi himself with Jennifer Kaytin Robinson and executive production by Victoria Alonso, Louis D’Esposito, Todd Hallowell. The cast, on the other hand, also sees the presence of Chris Hemsworth in the role of Thor, Russell Crowe who plays Zeus, Christian Bale in the role of Gorr, The Slaughterer of Gods, Jaimie Alexander (Lady Sif), Tessa Thompson who lends the face to Valkyrie and many more. The work should arrive in cinemas on 6 July 2022.

Thor: Love and Thunder is the next big Marvel movie that fans await with religious patience. After the theatrical release of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness and the controversial reactions from audiences and critics, fans await the release – in July – of the fourth chapter of the Thor saga, the God of Thunder played by Chris Hemsworth . The villain planned for the next film is Gorr The Godbutcher, played by the great method actor Christian Bale.

The film will be directed by director Taika Waititi, who has become a legend thanks to his total reboot of the Thor franchise. Thor: Ragnarok is in fact the film starring the God of Thunder that has had the greatest success with critics and audiences. In Thor: Love and Thunder, the news will be many and the surprises even more.

The first teaser trailer for Thor: Love and Thunder showed fans a first glimpse of the new hero played by Natalie Portman, known by those who followed the franchise as the former love interest of the mighty God. However, Jane suffered a great deal makeover, becoming the cinematic equivalent of a very popular story among comics fans, that is, plays the role of the superhero The Mighty Thor.

In the trailer, Jane wields a put-together version of Mjolnir and displays a physique truly worthy of the new Thunder God! A new image, released by Marvel Studios, shows the two Thor ready for battle, in costume! The two are truly a formidable couple and seem ready to face the dangerous Gorr!

As seen at the end of Avengers: Endgame, Thor will spend time with the Guardians of the Galaxy before returning to New Asgard. Not much is known about the personal arc that the God of Thunder will face, but one thing is clear from the trailer: Love and Thunder will be for him a journey towards healing, after the traumatic events in the Infinity saga.

Speaking to AP, director Taika Waititi revealed that Thor will be going through “a midlife crisis”. The director didn’t go into details, but his comments suggest that the film will continue to explore the characterization of the Asgardian prince as he decides what his true calling is.

Deadpool 3: Ryan Reynolds seems to have confirmed the return of a key character!

Deadpool 3 is in the hands of Shawn Levy

Deadpool 3 has just been confirmed and fans of the foul-mouthed superhero in tights can’t help but be happy. The saga, which was launched for the time on the big screen in 2016 under the direction of Tim Miller (Love, Death & Robots, Terminator – Dark Destiny) then saw the next chapter in 2018 with the ball that arrived in the hands of David Leitch (John Wick, Bullet Train).

Officially, with this third piece, there will be the return of Shawn Levy (A Night at the Museum, Free Guy), who recently directed Ryan Reynolds, interpreter of the Mercenary Chatty, in The Adam Project, available on Netflix from ’11 March 2022.

Well, Reynolds himself, as reported by CBR.com, seems to have provided additional detail on Deadpool 3, although the details on the feature film are still scarce for the most part. The actor commented on a tweet from well-known actress Leslie Uggams (Two Weeks in Another Town, Check the Black King) who played blind old Al (diminutive of Althea) in both Deadpool 1 and the second.

The legendary diva was praising The Adam Project, reporting, at the end of her message, that Levy would direct Deadpool. The artist promptly commented on it, reporting Uggams’ words and writing: “Thank you very much, Leslie, see you soon.” Who is already aware that the interpreter will also make an appearance in the film in question? Very early to tell, but it wouldn’t be so strange as she is a very effective comic character in the franchise.

While this still very vague news on the subject spreads, we hope that in the coming months we can really discover more tangible content on the realization, which will now also officially be part of the MCU after Disney acquires 20th Century Studios.
