While the movie ‘RRR’ did a business of Rs.213 crores in the Telugu states, the latest Aadi Purush movie did a business of Rs.155 crores in the Telugu states alone.
Adipurush
If we look at the region-wise, trade circles estimate that business will be done up to Rs. 60 crores in Nizam, Rs. 70 crores in Andhra, and seeded Rs. 20 crores. While the remaining Tamil, Malayalam, and Kannada languages are reported to have a theatrical rights business of Rs.30 crores.
The producers of the Tollywood production company People’s Media Factory have acquired the pre-release theatrical rights of Aadi Purush for around Rs.185 crores. Meanwhile, famous producer Dil Raju has to take the rights to Adipurush movie Nijam. He also initially showed interest in Nizam rights. I don’t know what happened after that. Backed out at the last minute.
With this, it seems that Mythri Movie Makers has acquired the distribution rights of Nizam. It remains to be seen what kind of success Prabhas will get from the movie Adipurush, which is creating new records in the free release business before its release. This movie will be released in 3D as well as 2D versions.
