Insidious: The Red Door final trailer promises a truly terrifying conclusion to the horror saga starring Patrick Wilson, who returns to the cinema after a 5-year wait! For the new chapter Patrick Wilson, who makes his directorial debut, returns in the role of Josh Lambert together with Ty Simpkins, Rose Byrne, and Andrew Astor. The cast also includes Sinclair Daniel and Hiam Abbass.

Sony has in fact released the new official trailer of the fifth chapter of Insidious, the awaited next feature film of the horror franchise that began in 2011 with the success created by the duo Saw James Wan and Leigh Whannell, with the former directing the first two installments of the film series, and the latter who wrote all four films and directed the third. The fifth chapter of the horror series returns to cinemas exactly 5 years after the last film, Insidious – The last key.

In Insidious: The Red Door, the original cast of the horror franchise reunites in the latest chapter in the terrifying saga of the Lambert family. To silence their demons once and for all, college-aged Josh (Patrick Wilson) and Dalton (Ty Simpkins) must go “Elsewhere” deeper than they ever have before, facing their family’s dark past and a host of new and more frightening terrors that lurk behind the red door.

The film is produced by Jason Blum, Oren Peli, James Wan, and Leigh Whannell. The screenplay is written by Scott Teems from a story by Leigh Whannell, based on characters created by Leigh Whannell. Insidious: La Porta Rossa arrives in Italian cinemas on July 5, produced by Sony Pictures and distributed by Eagle Pictures.

While reviews have been mixed for all four films, the Insidious franchise has become a favorite among horror fans. The original film grossed over $97 million on a $1.5 million budget and helped further elevate Blumhouse Productions as a production company. Subsequent sequels proved to be huge box office hits, grossing a total of $442 million, against a combined production budget of $25 million. After a few years of relative silence, it was confirmed in 2019 that a fifth film, starring Patrick Wilson and Ty Simpkins, was in development.
