Spellbound will be directed by Vicky Jenson, director of Shrek and Shark Tale. In addition to Nicole Kidman and Javier Bardem, the Spellbound cast features John Lithgow, Nathan Lane, Jenifer Lewis, André De Shields, Jordan Fisher, and Rachel Zegler
Having recently worked together on About the Ricardos, Nicole Kidman and Javier Bardem are ready to share another film project. As Variety reports, the two Hollywood stars will lead the voice cast of Apple’s animated film Spellbound. Produced by Apple Original Films and Skydance Animation, the film will star Princess Elliana of Cumbria, on a mission to save her family and kingdom when a mysterious spell turns her parents into monsters and threatens to envelop Cumbria in eternal darkness.
Nicole Kidman will be the kind, righteous yet maniacal Queen Ellsmere, while Javier Bardem will be King Solon, a braggart with a heart of gold. Spellbound’s vocal cast will also include John Lithgow, Nathan Lane (Only Murders in the Building), Jenifer Lewis (Black-ish), and André De Shields (tick, tick… BOOM!) And Jordan Fisher. Lithgow and Lewis will be the princess’s royal advisors, Minister Bolivar, and Minister Nazara Prone.
Lane and De Shields will be the Oracles of the Sun and the Moon, which Ellian must find to break the spell. Fisher will be Callan, who will accompany Ellian on her adventure. Rachel Zegler protagonist of West Side Story and the next Snow White in the eponymous Disney live-action will be Princess Ellian.
Spellbound will be directed by Vicky Jenson, director of Shrek and Shark Tale, from a screenplay written by Lauren Hynek, Elizabeth Martin, and Linda Woolverton. Alan Menken, winner of eight Academy Awards, will write the original music and songs, with lyrics signed by Glenn Slater (Rapunzel, Ralph Breaks the Internet). John Lasseter, David Ellison, Dana Goldberg, and David Lipman will produce the film for Skydance Animation.
Handsome Chris Evans, famous for being the interpreter of one of the most important and famous characters in the MCU, Captain America, is known around the world for being “America’s ass”. In fact, his sculpted backside even made an appearance on the new Marvel show, Ms. Marvel, in merchandise created specifically for the TV series.
Although Chris has not been part of the MCU officially since the end of Avengers: Endgame, many fans continue to mourn him along with other Avengers leaders, Robert Downey Junior’s Tony Stark. The chances of seeing these actors in their iconic roles again are, however, very low at the moment. We know what happened to them and we don’t want to remember it so as not to get sad.
Since leaving the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Chris Evans has also decided to leave the gym, thus losing that muscle mass that has made him one of the sex symbols of contemporary cinecomics.
Is a thinner Chris Evans a less sexy or attractive Chris Evans? Hard to believe. Despite this, comments on the actor’s new physical appearance were wasted, so much so that they were cited by the star herself. At the premiere of the new Disney film, Lightyear, in which Evans voices the famous Buzz, he had to admit that many asked him inquisitively if he was okay. “People ask me: Is everything okay? You have lost a lot of weight, “the actor told Yahoo microphones. “I have not gone to the gym with the same frequency as before,” he reiterated.
Additionally, on the red carpet, he was asked about his post-Marvel life and the actor gave both nostalgic and truthful answers.
“My life is very different from when I am no longer Captain America, for 10 years my life has been marked by the release of a film a year. It was all much more predictable. Now, however, we are sailing in open waters. On the one hand, it’s really beautiful, on the other I miss that life. I love those people and they were certainly the best 10 years of my life ”.
In the same interview, Evans also turned off the enthusiasm of those who believed in his statement (“if I come back it should be perfect”) a few days ago. He will not return as Steve Rogers and Marvel fans will have to deal with it, more then than before.

Leonardo DiCaprio has entered the world of Champagne and is now visiting the French grape varieties in which it is produced. Just three months after announcing his investment in Champagne Telmont, the actor went to the vineyards near Epernay, France. The visit, which People reported last week, was posted on the Maison’s Instagram profile.
“We are thrilled to have recently welcomed the actor, environmentalist, and investor of Champagne Telmont @leonardodicaprio to Damery,” the post reads. “Leonardo supports our vision and our commitment to create the most sustainable organic champagne and to focus strongly on the conservation of our land and our biodiversity.”

DiCaprio’s tour also included a visit to the caves, vats, and cultivated fields in the Marne Valley, cultivated by the L’Hopital family since 1912. In February Leonardo DiCaprio revealed that he had made “a substantial investment” in the family’s centenary Champagne, one of the main brands of organic bubbles. Telmont has an ambitious plan to commercialize 100% organic champagne by 2025. DiCaprio’s investment treaties began more than two years ago, slowed by the pandemic.
From protecting biodiversity on its land, to using 100% renewable electricity, @maisontelmont is determined to radically lower its environmental footprint. Proud to join as an investor in Champagne Telmont. https://t.co/frCFN9pcvQ
DiCaprio is just one of many Hollywood celebrities to invest in French champagne. The trend began with Jay-Z’s purchase in 2014 of the little but respected Armand de Brignac. In 2021, the music mogul sold half the property to luxury goods giant LVMH for an estimated profit of more than $ 300 million. Inspired by the worldwide success of his Chateau Miraval wines in Provence, Brad Pitt launched 2020 a Champagne Rosé, Fleur de Miraval, produced in the nearby commune of Mesnil-sur-Oger. Other notable investors include 50 Cent and Idris Elba.
In a recent interview, the well-known director talked about the reappearance of the love interest of the God of Thunder, who this time also wears a costume!
Thor: Love and Thunder seems to be one of the most curious and remarkable projects of Phase 4 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe: not only because one of the most appreciated authors of the universe of the House of Ideas returns to the control room, or Taika Waititi (What We Do in the Shadows, Jojo Rabbit) after his acclaimed work in Thor: Ragnarok (2017), but also because Jane Foster’s character (who has the face of Natalie Portman) unexpectedly wears a costume. This event, which also happened in the comics (in Jason Aaron’s The Mighty Thor run) hit fans enormously and this approach, of course, is particular for a cinecomic.
In a recent interview for Empire Magazine, Taika Waititi himself spoke about Jane Foster and the impact she has on the protagonist.
It’s been about eight years. She had another life, and then the love of your life comes back on the scene, and now she is dressed like you. It’s a real blast for Thor. I didn’t know we were going to use the Mighty Thor character plot until we started working out the actual story. I was writing and he was like, ‘Wouldn’t it be nice to bring Jane back into the plot?’
At the same time, you don’t want Natalie to come back and play the same character who walks around with scientific equipment. You know, as Thor flies around, she stayed on Earth, stamping her foot and saying, ‘When will she come back?’ It’s boring. You want her to be part of the adventure.
Thor: Love and Thunder is written by Waititi himself with Jennifer Kaytin Robinson and executive production by Victoria Alonso, Louis D’Esposito, Todd Hallowell. The cast, on the other hand, also sees the presence of Chris Hemsworth in the role of Thor, Russell Crowe who plays Zeus, Christian Bale in the role of Gorr, The Slaughterer of Gods, Jaimie Alexander (Lady Sif), Tessa Thompson who lends the face to Valkyrie and many more. The work should arrive in cinemas on 6 July 2022.
Sam Raimi returns to talk about his past as a cinecomics director and tells his version of the controversial “emo Peter” scene in Spider-Man 3!
Sam Raimi is in the cinema with the new phenomenon produced and distributed by Marvel Studios, or Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. Despite a rather contradictory and sometimes polarizing criticism, Raimi’s film is having a huge success at the box office, recording really high revenues in its first days in the cinema. Sam Raimi returns to the genre of cinecomics after twenty years, or after its release in theaters with the Spider-Man trilogy.
The first two films of the franchise will probably remain iconic as real cult superhero movies. In fact, the villain of the films are back to the delight of the public in Spider-Man: No Way Home. Willem Dafoe’s Green Goblin and Alfred Molina’s Doc Ock are among the most successful villains ever. However, Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man trilogy is not only remembered for its achievements.
Spider-Man 3, the latest in the franchise, is considered by most to be a real disaster. The film, in fact, alternates an emo atmosphere with the original one of the first films, often leaving the audience confused if not even provoking incredulous laughter. Some scenes in particular, in fact, have remained etched in fans for their somewhat ridiculous and “cringe” nature.
The most popular is certainly the one concerning “emo Peter Parker”, or when the fusion between the protagonist and the Venom symbiote is effective. Venom transforms Peter into a kind of rebellious teenager with oily hair and a very “Green Day” look. The sequence of the “dance” improvised by Peter / Tobey Maguire in front of Mary Jane / Kirsten Dunst has become a real meme over time.
Sam Raimi thus justified his artistic choice in an interview with Fandom. “The scene was meant to be fun. It was Peter Parker’s version – this slightly “loser” guy – of what it meant to play a bad version of himself. But he is completely beside himself. The character is so out of the cool that this is his interpretation of what it means to be bad.
It didn’t go very well with the audience, but that was what we were trying to do. So I’m not surprised if people find it… well, I’m glad people find it fun! We wanted him to make people laugh, ”said Raimi.
Michael Keaton to star in and direct the noir thriller Knox Goes Away, which will be presented to buyers at the Cannes Film Festival
Michael Keaton will star and direct the noir thriller Knox Goes Away, which FilmNation, ICM Partners and Verve will present to buyers on the Croisette. The Cannes Film Festival 2022 will be held from 17 to 28 May.
Gregory Poirier wrote the screenplay for the film, which tells the story of a contract killer diagnosed with rapidly worsening dementia. Man will have the opportunity to redeem himself from a life of killing by saving the life of his son, long lost. However, to do so, he will have to fight against the police, who are ever closer to catching him, and against his illness. Production is scheduled to start in late August in Los Angeles.
The film’s producers are Brookstreet’s Trevor Matthews and Nick Gordon and Sugar23’s Michael Sugar and Ashley Zalta. Carter Stanton (Brookstreet) will executive produce, along with Jillian Kay (Sugar23). FilmNation handles international sales, while ICM Partners and Verve Ventures jointly represent US rights.
Michael Keaton was most recently seen in the acclaimed Hulu miniseries Dopesick, which he also executive produced. He has won a SAG Award, a Critics’ Choice Award and a Golden Globe for Best Actor in a Miniseries or TV Movie. He will soon be seen in the eagerly awaited The Flash, in which he returns to take on the iconic role of Batman.
The director releases “Death on the Nile” and “Belfast” almost at the same time, two films that confirm the versatility of his filmography
Kenneth Branagh is a happy filmmaker. Not all his films are comedies, on the contrary, his most ambitious film has been Hamlet (1996) based on the tragedy by William Shakespeare, the favorite author of the actor, screenwriter, producer, and director. The energy that he transmits in his work is at times pure motivation and at others, it can be passed to the other side. But either way, Branagh has done his best to never be typecast. He loves what he does and it shows.
Kenneth Branagh was born in Belfast, Northern Ireland, United Kingdom, on December 10, 1960. From a Protestant family, they all moved to London when the violence in the city made it very difficult to stay in his birthplace.
At the age of eighteen, he entered the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art, and shortly after finishing his studies he had already begun an acting career. Before turning twenty-nine, he directed his first feature film, which in turn would be his first adaptation of William Shakespeare: Henry V (1989).
Two Oscar nominations, as director and screenwriter, made people call him the new Laurence Olivier. Branagh’s acknowledged ego made him feel that nothing would stop him, but in his second film, he showed something that would characterize him completely, the change in tone, style, genre, and aesthetics. Die Again (1991) didn’t work out, but that didn’t put off the ever-optimistic Ken.
Peter’s Friends (1992) was followed by another great Shakespeare adaptation: Much Ado About Nothing (1993), in which he cast actors such as Denzel Washington, Michael Keaton, and Keanu Reeves, much to the horror of purists. In this first stage, he always worked with the actress Emma Thompson, with whom he was married for several years.
Frankenstein (1994) was his next craze and after that, he made a complete adaptation of Hamlet lasting four hours and with another huge cast that included Branagh himself in the title role and names as different as Kate Winslet, Robin Williams, Billy Crystal, Charlton Heston, Julie Christie, Gérard Depardieu, Richard Attenborough, John Gielgud, Judi Dench and her admirer Derek Jacobi, the actor who awakened in Branagh the vocation of acting.
He also pursued an acting career, working on a Harry Potter film as well as for Woody Allen. He became one of Christopher Nolan’s favorite actors and had a great time with a diverse and successful career.
He was one of the great directors to agree to work for Marvel, directing the successful Thor (2011). He also directed a Jack Ryan movie and a great version of Cinderella. But his last bet for the big box office was to become Hercule Poirot, the great detective created by Agatha Christie.

He did very well with Murder on the Orient Express (2017) and now he plays it again in Death on the Nile, both films directed by him, not just starring. In these films, Branagh gives himself the luxury of making fun of himself and questioning himself. Poirot, beyond pure entertainment, is an interesting reflection on reason versus emotion. But it’s a good time to remember that Branagh also played another very famous police character, none other than Kurt Wallander, the character from the Henning Mankell novels, in the British version of the series.
Now, in the run-up to the Oscar, Kenneth Branagh also surprised everyone with another film, Belfast (2021), which reached the main nominations, including three for him as director, producer, and screenwriter. A look at his own childhood, filmed in black and white, but with some color scenes.
A very exciting and beautiful film. The versatility of the director was perfectly exposed with these two premieres that can be seen in many parts of the world at the same time. Kenneth Branagh, the filmmaker who does not believe that you have to choose between two types of cinema and who, with a career spanning more than thirty years, never ceases to amaze.
After years of uncertainty and rumors surrounding Charlie Cox’s potential return as Matt Murdock in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, the series star Daredevil was allowed to reprise the role for a short scene in Spider-Man: No Way Home.
Along with the return of Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield as “Variant” Spider-Men, Cox’s part in the film leaked early, but the actor was still forced to lie about his involvement in interviews. Now, Cox has revealed exactly when he got the call from Kevin Feige and it looks like he had to keep his secret from him for just under a full year.
“I got the call in the middle of the block, in the summer of 2020, and we shot Spider-Man in March of 2021 … so I had to keep it a secret for almost a year. So yeah, it was intense, ”the actor told HeyUGuys.
“It’s a relief to be able to talk about it. You know, getting that phone call was a moment that changed my life, really. My involvement with that character and the MCU was dead and gone, I hadn’t heard anything for a couple of years and so I moved on. It was incredibly unexpected and out of the blue. “
Before the head of Marvel Studios officially addressed Charlie Cox, Kevin Feige went to see him in a comedy in which he was performing with Loki star Tom Hiddleston and never mentioned the possibility of the actor returning as Daredevil.
“I did a show in 2019 with Tom Hiddleston and Kevin Feige came to see our show. And, you know, I shook his hand and said hi and he said how much he liked the show. Never mentioned Daredevil or anything. So I found out that he is also a very good liar (laughs). “
We don’t yet know when we will see Cox as Murdock / The Fearless Man again, but rumor has it that he will appear in several upcoming Disney + shows before getting his own series or solo feature film.
Tom Holland, one of the hottest actors of the moment thanks to his lead role in Spider-Man: No Way Home, is an avid fan of the Netflix series Daredevil
Daredevil remains one of the most beautiful Marvel series ever shot: yes, this despite the success of the new series streaming on Disney +! Spider-Man himself, or actor Tom Holland, also seems to confirm this.
Tom, who continues to be one of the biggest stars in the world after the theatrical release of Spider-Man: No Way Home by Jon Watts, is a huge fan of the adventures of the Devil in Hell’s Kitchen. The return of Charlie Cox, the actor who plays Devil in the Netflix TV series, No Way Home, bodes well for a shared cinematic future.
Here’s what Tom Holland said in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter in which he was asked what he thought of a possible team of Spider-Man and Daredevil:
“Thanks for asking. Nobody had really asked me before. Working with Charlie was incredibly exciting. I was a huge fan of the Netflix series and he is an incredible actor. He did a really amazing job on his character and even though it was a small cameo, he served to imagine what could be in the future. “
Tom Holland, therefore, would be delighted to share the screen with Charlie Cox in the future, having found their experience working together absolutely satisfying:
“We really stopped the scene during filming. We were just sitting at the table, together, reading our lines. It felt like an acting workshop with people I really admire and shooting the scene with Charlie was really fun! I found it amazing how he just immediately returned as a character that I am a huge fan of and that he obviously loves madly! In short, he was really nice and I can only hope for a new alliance soon! “
And you, are you ready to see Spider-Man and Daredevil on the same screen again?
Dakota Johnson will play Madame Web in Sony’s Marvel Cinematic Universe
Dakota Johnson will join the Marvel Cinematic Universe! The Fifty Shades actress was cast to play Madame Web in Sony’s spin-off film. This film will be the first modern Sony cinecomics to feature a woman. Insiders close to the project stress that the agreement is not yet closed, but confirm that the actress is in talks to secure the role.
SJ Clarkson, the writer, and the director are known for the Netflix series Jessica Jones and the spin-off The Defenders has been hired to direct the film. Matt Sazama and Burk Sharpless, the duo behind the film with Jared Leto Morbius, will write the script.
In the comics, Madame Web is the key to the multiverse, a somewhat confusing concept that Sony, Disney, and Warner Bros. have just begun to shape on the big screen. Web often appears as a secondary character in the Spider-Man comics, where she is portrayed as an elderly woman with myasthenia gravis, a chronic autoimmune disease that requires her to connect to a web-like life support system.
Dakota Johnson isn’t just Fifty Shades of Gray. During her brilliant career, the actress has ranged in genres, working alongside many prominent artists. We remember her in Luca Guadagnino’s remake of Suspiria, in the comedy Single but not too much, and in the moving Traveling towards a dream – The Peanut Butter Falcon with Shia Labeouf.
The actress will soon be in theaters and on Netflix with director Maggie Gyllenhaal’s highly anticipated psychological drama The Lost Daughter, opposite Olivia Colman.
