Enola Holmes 2 Movierulz: that's why Sam Claflin is not in the movie 4 Movierulz

Enola Holmes 2

The film Enola Holmes 2 will arrive on Netflix on November 4, 2022, a sequel to the 2020 film, where actress Millie Bobby Brown will reprise the role of Sherlock Holmes’s sister, who is also involved in solving some complex cases.

In addition to the actress made famous by the Stranger Things series, actor Henry Cavill will also return in this film, with the role of the illustrious Sherlock Holmes. However, there is in particular one actor from the first film who will not be present in this sequel: Sam Claflin. The actor, as is well known, in the first film plays Mycroft Holmes, the eldest of the three brothers and legal guardian of Enola.

The director of Enola Holmes 2, Harry Bradbeer, has now clarified in the course of an interview the reason for this absence. “When Sam Claflin’s working calendar was defined, – explained the director – we understood that he could not have been there.

We are very sorry that he could not be a part of this film. If the franchise continues, we will be happy to have it back. The absence of him, however, made us realize that we had to focus more on Sherlock, who has some advantages here as a character, such as a more central role. We wanted to work on this particular relationship ”.

“It had to be about Sherlock and Enola, – continued the director – so I guess having fewer characters to manage allowed us to focus more vigorously on what we had”. Bradbeer does not, therefore, rule out a possible return of Claflin in the role of the eldest of the Holmes brothers, if Netflix will kick off the making of a third film.

However, the actor’s absence is compensated for in Enola Holmes 2 by a cast consisting of Louis Partridge, Susan Wokoma, Adeel Akhtar, and Helena Bonham Carter, who plays the role of the mother of the three Holmes brothers. Among the new arrivals, however, we note David Thewlis and Sharon Duncan-Brewster.
