From May 4th, the doors of the multiverse are definitively open, and Doctor Strange will take us by the hand on a breathtaking journey, directed by the genius of Sam Raimi.

If there is a Marvel movie that, after Avengers: Endgame, brings with it a really cumbersome load of expectations, it is Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. Because this is the first MCU film that officially tackles the multiverse, because it finally sees Benedict Cumberbatch’s beloved doctor return to center stage, because it promises so many exciting cameos and because its direction is signed by Sam Raimi, who is a superhero if he intends since it’s still his best genre film in the history of cinema (we’re talking about Spider-Man 2, of course)!

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, what happens in the film?

The events of Doctor Strange 2 take place in an unspecified future, following the events of No Way Home. Stephen wakes up from a strange nightmare, in which a man who had the same face as him died trying to save a girl with mysterious powers.

He doesn’t pay too much attention to it, gets up, gets up, and goes to a wedding: it’s Christine’s, the woman he loves but doesn’t dare to chase, too scared by that feeling. But as at the reception he tries to apologize to the bride now out of her reach, screams and confusion from the street draw his attention to him.

He goes into action and finds himself fighting against the sprawling Gargantos who try to capture a little girl, but not just anyone, the very one he dreamed of the previous night. Thus begins an unexpected journey for our hero who, to complete the mission to protect this mysterious girl, will ask for the help of the most powerful Avenger on Earth: Wanda Maximoff.

Looking for Sam Raimi

The excitement that preceded Doctor Strange’s arrival in the theater in the Multiverse of Madness is, as mentioned, largely linked to the presence of Sam Raimi as director. The visionary director of The House and father of the Spider-Man trilogy with Tobey Maguire returns to work after twenty years with Kevin Feige, to bring a superhero to the screen,

but this time the stakes seem higher since we are within the MCU and the hero is not the wall climber who holds a special place in the director’s heart. However, it is a character that allows Raimi to “turn up the volume” in certain directions that he knows how to take very well, such as horror and visionary language.

Sure, it feels like Raimi’s style has been harnessed into Kevin Feige’s tight-knit, but it’s also an understandable choice since if the MCU works so well, it’s precisely because there is only one mind-making the decisions that they matter. This did not prevent Raimi, fortunately, from scoring a couple of really brilliant and visually breathtaking sequences, first of all, a clash between Strange and a very particular opponent that will not go unnoticed.

There have also been a lot of talks, about Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, about the leaks, and the level of secrecy à la Avengers: Endgame, to put it in the words of Benedict Cumberbatch, however, we want to reassure the spectators: no spoiler can ruin the viewing the film, since it is primarily a hero’s maturation journey.

Beyond the trappings, the more or less expected characters, the villain of this adventure, and all the obstacles that Strange will have to face, the true emotional heart of the film is Stephen’s inner journey and the acceptance of his life and his happiness.

“You are happy?” Christine asks him, at her wedding, at the beginning of the film; and regardless of the answer that Stephen’s proud heart pushes on his lips, we know that the truth changes, between the beginning and the end of the journey in the Multiverse of Madness. On this path, he is unwittingly assisted and aided by America Chavez, an irresistible teenager who makes his debut in the MCU.

What has perhaps been lost sight of, after so many collective films and team-ups, is that Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness is the second chapter of what should be a trilogy dedicated to the character, and like those reserved for Thor, Cap, and Iron Man foresees the development of the same towards a maturation that will lead him to be his best possible version of a human being and a hero.

More days, fewer days, there is a month to go until the premiere of Doctor Strange: In the Multiverse of Madness and Marvel announced the sale of advance tickets with a new spot, another exclusive video for the American theater chain AMC and released four unpublished posters for celebrating the announcement in the different cinemas. It should be remembered that advance sales do not support any type of promotion. About the content of the spots, there are also revelations.

Doctor Strange still hasn’t finished his task after helping the friendly Spider-Man to make everyone forget about Peter Parker. That spell generated a rupture in the barriers of the Multiverse that caused consequences that have not yet been fully discovered and that will be shown in the second film of the hero played by Benedict Cumberbatch. Since he opened a door to the multiverse, he will have his work cut out for him to stop a catastrophe that threatens to destroy the universe as we know it.

One of the trailers showed a conversation between Doctor Strange (Cumberbatch) and Wanda Maximoff (Elizabeth Olsen) in which they both talk about the chance to add the help of the Avengers, but she replies: “There are other Avengers.” The sorcerer promises that they will soon return from this mission and convinces her to join this adventure that will tackle the chaos in the Multiverse. Later on, Scarlet Witch is shown fighting alongside Wong (Benedict Wong) against unknown forces.

In this new spot, things are going to get complicated especially on Wanda’s side, since she is reunited with her children, evidence that once again her mind will play tricks on her. On the side of Doctor Strange, he will come face to face with the evil version of him and he reveals his third eye on his forehead. Furthermore, he anticipates another image of Strange imprisoned by what is speculated to be the Illuminati.

Benedict Cumberbatch and Elizabeth Olsen will be the main stars of the new Marvel film after their stories were linked by experiences lived before reaching this point. Spider-Man: No Way Home served as the grand prelude to the huge event to come in this multiversal battle involving these completely new characters and faces. Additionally, it will mark the return of Sir Patrick Stewart as Charles Xavier.

Doctor Strange 2 is directed by Sam Raimi, the American filmmaker behind the original Spider-Man trilogy starring Tobey Maguire. The coincidence in the meeting of the universes is evident and we can only wait for what the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) will bring in the future of movies and series.

The premiere of Doctor Strange: Into the Multiverse of Madness will arrive on May 4 with a preview date and on May 5 in all theaters.

"Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness": Marvel released a new trailer with unpublished scenes

Doctor Strange in The Multiverse of Madness

The sequel, starring Benedict Cumberbatch, will focus on the chaos in the Multiverse that was unleashed by the events of “Spider-Man: No Way Home.”

“The Multiverse is life or death,” Stephen Strange is heard saying in a new trailer for Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. Starring Benedict Cumberbatch, the sequel serves as a continuation of the events of Spider-Man: No Way Home, where the stability of the universe was severely affected following the botched spell that summoned the arachnids and villains of past franchises.

The trailer shows a bit more about the conversation between Doctor Strange (Cumberbatch) and Wanda Maximoff (Elizabeth Olsen). “We can take the help of an Avenger,” he tells her, to which she replies, “There are other Avengers.”

The sorcerer promises that they will soon return from this mission and convinces her to join this adventure that will address the chaos in the Multiverse. Later on, Scarlet Witch is shown fighting alongside Wong (Benedict Wong) against unknown forces.

Likewise, Chiwetel Ejiofor can be seen back as Baron Mordo and who would be Monica Rambeau (Teyonah Parris) using powers very similar to those of Captain Marvel. Xochitl Gomez, the 15-year-old actress, also makes an appearance as America Chavez, the member of the Young Avengers who will mark her debut in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Doctor Strange Sequel Will Connect With Other Marvel Titles

Doctor Strange 2 will connect the third installment of Spider-Man and the series WandaVision and Loki, both released in 2020 through Disney +. Why these last two? To understand how the Scarlet Witch has gained such power and what her interests are in being linked to the Multiverse, it is necessary to see the fiction that Olsen starred in with Paul Bettany.

On the other hand, the press reports in the US revealed that Tom Hiddleston will have a cameo in this film and it is no surprise since the God of lies also unleashed a great disaster in the multiversal line in his story. alone from him.

According to the official synopsis of the film, “the MCU unlocks the Multiverse and expands its limits more than ever. Journey into the unknown with Doctor Strange, who, with the help of mystical allies both old and new, traverses the mind-bending and dangerous alternate realities of the Multiverse to confront a mysterious new adversary.” As seen in the official trailer, the great antagonist will be an alternate and evil version of Stephen Strange himself.

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness was directed by Sam Raimi, the filmmaker behind the first Spider-Man trilogy, from a script by Michael Waldron (creator of Loki). The main cast includes Benedict Cumberbatch, Elizabeth Olsen, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Benedict Wong, Xochitl Gomez, Michael Stuhlbarg, and Rachel McAdams.

In addition, it is speculated that there will be a cameo by Patrick Stewart, known for playing Charles Xavier in the X-Men cinematic universe, and his appearance would introduce mutants in the narrative line of the Avengers.

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness: new photos of the protagonists shared!

Doctor Strange in The Multiverse of Madness

The photos portray very closely the four protagonists of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.

Doctor Strange 2 is certainly the most anticipated cinecomic of the year, which has the arduous task of putting an order in the newly born Marvel Multiverse.

On the occasion of the now imminent release – scheduled for May 6 and in the United States for May 6 – the production house has released four new photos coming directly from the film and which portray, very closely, the main protagonists: Doctor Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch), Scarlet Witch Wanda Maximoff (Elizabeth Olsen), Wong (Benedict Wong) and new entry America Chavez (Xochitl Gomez).

In the cast – in addition to the stars just mentioned – Chiwetel, Michael Stuhlbarg, and Rachel McAdams. Since this is a work based on the Multiverse, the appearances of many other heroes are expected – or hypothesized – coming from any angle told in the cinecomics taken from the Marvel comics.

The film, directed by Sam Raimi – father of the modern concept of “cinecomic” with his Spider-Man trilogy – will sanction the horror drift of the MCU, with Doctor Strange intent on fixing the “mess” combined in Spider-Man: No Way Home and to fight with its evil variant, which appeared in the animated series What If? To help the Sorcerer will be Wanda – retired from the world after the Westview disaster – and America Chavez, able to travel between alternative realities and therefore explain to Strange the complex dynamics of the Multiverse.

The Doctor Strange sequel has undergone several date postponements, finally landing on May 4 – the date on which no major competitors from other distribution companies will be released. It is also one of the few upcoming films to include new characters in the MCU, likely to be part of the New Avengers.

The task of presenting new protagonists has in fact been left to the TV series – only in 2022 will three shows with unreleased heroes be released, Moon Knight (March 30), Ms. Marvel (June 8), and She-Hulk (whose release date is yet to be defined).

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness: who is that mysterious figure in the new trailer?

Here comes the highly anticipated moment for so many Marvel fans! The new trailer for the Marvel Doctor Strange movie in the Multiverse of Madness hides a super surprise!

During the Super Bowl, the new official trailer for Doctor Strange was shown in the Multiverse of Madness, the highly anticipated Marvel sequel starring Benedict Cumberbatch which will arrive in theaters in May. The trailer is nothing short of spectacular, with creepy undertones and rather mysterious figures.

In particular, we see Doctor Strange in the presence of a figure from behind, a figure whose identity we now know! It has been made official that Patrick Stewart will return as Professor X of X-Men! The figure we see from behind is in fact none other than Charles Xavier, at the head of what appears to be a government that will put Cumberbatch’s Doctor Strange on trial.

It’s been several years since Stewart officially retired from his iconic role. We saw it for the last time in James Mangold’s acclaimed film, Logan. Despite fans’ interest in seeing him again as Professor X, especially after Marvel Studios claimed the rights to the X-Men characters, there has been no news regarding his future screen appearance. That was until tonight when fans were surprised to see him appear in the Doctor Strange trailer in the Multiverse of Madness.

Attentive fans also noted that the trailer may also conceal the presence of Reed Richards aka Mr. Fantastic of the Fantastic Four! The scene in question is always the same when Doctor Strange is summoned before a council. we see a person sitting, his face in shadow, but his costume looks the same as that of the Marvel hero. The advice seen in the trailer appears to be that of the Illuminati.

In the Marvel source material, the Illuminati are composed of Professor X, Iron Man, Dr. Strange, Reed Richards, Black Bolt, and Namor. We do not know for sure who is the interpreter of the hero of the Fantastic Four, but previous rumors have indicated the presence of John Krasinski.
