In The Old Man, Jeff Bridges plays Dan Chase a former CIA agent who has lived in the shadows for decades now.

Disney + has finally revealed the official release date of The Old Man, a gripping new drama written and created by Jonathan E. Steinberg and Robert Levine starring Jeff Bridges. The series will debut in Italy on September 28 with the first two episodes of the seven that make up the first season. Based on Thomas Perry’s bestselling novel of the same name, The Old Man centers on the character of Dan Chase, who escaped from the CIA decades ago, and has lived in the shadows for decades. When a hitman tries to kill him, the old agent realizes that to secure his future he must reconcile with his past.

With Dan Chase out of hiding, FBI Deputy Director of Counterintelligence Harold Harper – played by John Lithgow – is called to hunt him down due to his complicated past with the rebel fugitive. Alongside Harper are his protégé Angela Adams (Alia Shawkat) and CIA Special Agent Raymond Waters (E.J. Bonilla).

When capturing Chase becomes more complicated than authorities expected, Julian Carson (Gbenga Akinnagbe), a highly trained special forces professional, is also tasked with capturing him. While on the run, Chase rents a room from Zoe McDonald (Amy Brenneman), who will use unexpected resources to survive when she learns the truth about her new tenant. Among the protagonists of the drama series also Bill Heck, Leem Lubany, and Pej Vahdat.

The Old Man executive producers are Warren Littlefield, Steinberg, Dan Shotz, Levine, Jeff Bridges, David Schiff, and Jon Watts, who also directed the first two episodes. The series is produced by 20thTelevision in association with The Littlefield Company. The series has already been renewed for a second season.

What is the most-watched movie on Disney + Spain this day

The boom in streaming platforms has changed the way we watch and enjoy movies; Disney+ does not want to be left behind

The first film screening in history took place on December 28, 1895, in Paris, a historic event that was witnessed by 35 people and was directed by the Lumière brothers. In the new millennium, very far from that time, the way of making and watching cinema has been totally transformed, proof of this is Disney +.

In comparison, now it is not necessary to go to a square or to the cinema to enjoy the films, because with the advancement of technology and the arrival of streaming platforms there have been many advantages that movie lovers have obtained, such as the fact of enjoying diverse plots and genres within the reach of a click and without having to wonder how to download a video from Facebook.

Currently, there are not only 500 one-minute movies available, as in those days, but Disney + and its competitors have a wide catalog of productions, so the dilemma now is which titles to watch.

However, in this wave of novelties, some films have managed to stand out and position themselves in the public’s taste. Then we leave you the list of the most popular of Disney + Spain.

But when the magic surrounding the Enchantment is in jeopardy, Mirabel decides that she, the only Madrigal without any unique gifts, maybe the only hope for her exceptional family.

3. Network

Mei Lee, an awkward but confident 13-year-old girl, is torn between being the dutiful daughter her mother wants her to be and the chaos of adolescence. Ming, her protector, and slightly demanding mother is never separated from her, which is an undesirable situation for a teenager. And if the changes in her life and her body weren’t enough, every time she gets too excited (which she does pretty much all the time), she turns into a giant red panda.

4. Lucas

Disney + and its entry into the streaming market

Disney+ is a streaming platform that is owned by The Walt Disney Company and that offers its subscribers a wide catalog of movies, series, and documentaries, among other multimedia products that have been released under the studios Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star, National Geographic, among others.

The service was officially launched on November 12, 2019, in the United States and Canada, later expanding to the Netherlands and Spain. It was not until the end of 2020 that the platform finally reached Latin America and the Caribbean, except Cuba.

According to the last cut made in early 2022, the streaming service has around 130 million users worldwide. The goal for 2022 is expected to reach 50 countries, while by the end of 2023 it should have a presence in at least 160 nations.

'The Book of Boba Fett Post-Credits': Star Wars Has Plans for Cobb Vanth

Star Wars has plans for Cobb Vanth, the Timothy Olyphant character who was introduced in The Mandalorian and has been brought back in The Boba Fett Book. The post-credits of the bounty hunter limited series point to the incursion of the Marshal of Mos Pelgo, I mean Free City, as a new fixed character in this universe.

The post-credits scene of the final episode of The Book of Boba Fett, like the post-credits of season 2 of The Mandalorian with Fett’s character, shows that Disney and Star Wars have plans for Cobb Vanth, the character Timothy brings to life. Olyphant. Basically, Cobb Vanth becomes the natural substitute for the character of Cara Dune (Gina Carano) in the future grid of the Star Wars Universe.

After Disney fired Carano for some controversial statements and the New Republic Rangers series was canceled, a new fiction that was outlined in the final episode of season 2 of The Mandalorian, Cobb Vanth now offers Lucasfilm a new opportunity to explore that world of rangers and marshals of the New Republic after the fall of the Empire and before the arrival of the First Order. It had become clear to us that he had not died, so the post-credits have direction and magnitude.

The original New Republic Rangers series was to bring back and reinvent characters that were born outside of the official Star Wars canon in various novels and comics. Clearly, all the narrative weight was going to be carried by the character of Gina Carano: the last episode of the adventures of Mando and Grogu had a lot of intention. So just as they were willing to dump the series weight on Cara Dune in that new series, these Rangers can now sign Cobb Vanth.

Although it doesn’t have to be the same story (it can’t be, especially if they replace a female character with a male one) and the plot can now perfectly mix the hard-charging sheriffs of the galaxy with rangers. The Rangers [that’s their official name] were basically an interplanetary agency under the New Republic dedicated to hunting down criminals deemed too dangerous for the local authorities.

Vanth, now turned into a cyborg, fits the profile of a candidate for this agency, don’t you think? And don’t forget Mayfield (Bill Burr), another textbook candidate. Whatever the story they had initially thought of, it has had to be modified or will be modified. But Star Wars, basically Jon Favreau and David Filoni, architects of this new phase of the universe, have been leaving clues.

Starting with Emperor Palpatine’s Contingency plan if the Empire fell following Operation Cinder that we were dropped in The Mandalorian in Season 2. Now let’s get to it. Cobb Vanth would fit right in there. Especially since everything we knew about him, in theory, has already passed and about his future from now on has not been previously written in the Star Wars Universe.

You already know, but just to recap. Who is Cobb Vanth? He is a character born in the Consequences trilogy of novels: he is a slave (although it is not made clear whose, it seems that one of the great crime families and that he was a slave during the Galactic Civil War) who manages to free himself just when the sun falls. Empire. He arrives in Mos Pelgo where he meets one of the most despicable crime syndicates, the Red Key Raiders.

As The Boba Fett Book has tangentially portrayed, when Jabba dies there was a power war between all the criminal families (what we have actually seen, more than wars, has been the total and absolute submission of the families to the Pyke syndicate, which in the end it has proven to be weak and easy to dismantle, which leaves the rest of the unions at the level of bitumen).

However, out of fear of the New Republic, they tried to whitewash their activities. In the case of the Red Keys, they tried to pass themselves off as a mining union. Vanth takes on the Red Key Raiders the same way he’s taken on the Pyke in Fett’s series, but instead of getting on bad with the desert dwellers, as hinted at in The Mandalorian (yes, there’s been a whitewash of the Tuskens with Boba), they reach a protection agreement in exchange for water.

The most important thing about the novels is that Vanth, as The Boba Fett book has made clear, is a man of his word, a nobleman like few others (although the Mos Pelgo bartender is not far behind… another Rangers candidate if forgets to be an entrepreneur).

And we already entered the contingency plan and Operation Ceniza. The Emperor had a plan if he died or if he disappeared under “strange circumstances” so that his Imperial admirals would know what to do. It was Operation Cinder. And Operation Cinder was followed by a Contingency plan, which was this-message-will-self-destruct-in-fifteen-seconds.

The entire Empire was put into self-destruct mode to fall back, and they all fled jointly to the Unknown Regions to recreate a new, less imperfect Empire. Fans were never sold on this plan. So the big question now is: Is there any part of Operation: Cinder that hasn’t been revealed yet that would make sense of the Emperor’s plan?

The version of the new Star Wars of Rangers of the New Republic or whatever the name of the new series in which Vanth is going to fit in can fit in there: they will investigate the vestiges of the Empire while hunting criminals. Because that series has to learn from the great lesson of The Book of Boba Fett: the more it resembles The Mandalorian (go from small mission to small mission, no flashbacks), the better.

First trailer and poster of 'Cheaper by the dozen', the long-awaited reboot of Disney + that already has a release date

Gabrielle Union and Zach Braff play the roles made popular by Steve Martin and Bonnie Hunt. This classic of family comedies tells the adventures of a family with 10 children.

“But we’re weird,” Zoey says in the first trailer for Cheaper by the Dozen, the remake of a classic family sitcom produced by Disney+. Indeed, the Bakers starring Gabrielle Union and Zach Braff are unusual, to say the least: a family with 10 children, five from each parent. A demographic glut with great potential for humor.

Along with the advance, the first poster and the release date of this reboot of the famous 2003 film starring Steve Martin and Bonnie Hunt, which had a continuation with Ashton Kutcher, were released.

The film will premiere on Disney+ on March 18, with a cast that includes Erika Christensen, Timon Kyle Durrett, Journee Brown, Kylie Rogers, Andre Robinson, Caylee Blosenski, Aryan Simhadri, Leo Abelo Perry, Mykal-Michelle Harris, Christian Cote, Sebastian Cote, and Luke Prael.

The Bakers of Union and Braff are a blended family with 10 children trying to survive a hectic home life while keeping the family business in check, taking audiences on a rollercoaster ride of hilarious and heartwarming experiences. Gail Learner is directing from a script by herself in collaboration with Kenya Barris and Jenifer Rice-Genzuk Henry. The production will be Barris, Union, Shawn Levy, Brian Dobbins, and Donald J. Lee, Jr.

The 1950 film, starring Jeanne Craig and Clifton Webb, had its first remake more than fifty years later with Martin and Hunt, and their children included Hilary Duff and Tom Welling; Kutcher participated in the sequel.

'Goosebumps' will return with a new live-action series for Disney +

The season will have ten episodes and will be based on the famous books by Robert Lawrence Stine.

Nightmares are back for the family! Disney+ is working on an upcoming live-action Goosebumps series, based on the books by writer Robert Lawrence Stine. This is the second television adaptation of his literary work since the first had four seasons and was broadcast in the 1990s.

At that time, the narrative of the fiction was structured in an anthological way to be able to take each story in the form of an episode and some are remembered to this day for the fear they caused in the public of all ages.

As reported by Variety magazine, the plot will focus on “a group of five high school students who unleash supernatural forces on their city and must work together, thanks to and despite their friendships, rivalries, and pasts between them, to save it, learning a lot about their own teenage secrets from parents in the process.” From what is understood from its official synopsis, the proposal will not have an anthology format and will be told through a single plotline throughout the season.

This new version for the small screen will consist of 10 episodes, written by Nick Stoller and Rob Letterman (they are also executive producers). Neal H. Moritz will also have an executive producing role, after producing the two Goosebumps films that were released in 2015 and 2018, respectively. In addition, Letterman, who was behind the first installment, will direct the pilot episode.

It should be noted that this is not the first time that Stine’s stories have been brought to the original Disney + catalog, since, in October 2021, a series based on his graphic novels (Just Beyond) was released.

In April 2020, it was reported that the American author had given the go-ahead for another fiction adapting his successful horror novels, and almost two years later, he has just started pre-production. For now, there are no more details about the actors that will make up the cast or if there is an approximate release date on the streaming service.

Goosebumps marked a generation of children and adolescents

Goosebumps was brought to TV for the first time in 1995, it was originally broadcast by the Canadian signal YTV and, due to its success, it reached other regions of the world to continue to land the little ones at home. In Latin America, the program was seen through the Fox Kids channel and, later, on Jetix.

Robert Lawrence Stine’s novels are among the best-selling literary series globally, with more than 400 million copies in English and translated into more than 30 languages. There are 200 publications in total that include the main narratives of the books, the spin-offs, and other stories related to this same terrifying universe.
