The Witcher Season 3
The Witcher Season 3: As promised yesterday by the first official poster, Netflix has released the teaser trailer for the third season of The Witcher, the last for Henry Cavill’s Geralt of Rivia. As already happened yesterday with the poster, today’s promotional material is also entirely dedicated to the trio composed of Geralt, Yennefer (Anya Chalotra), and Ciri (Freya Allen). Recall that, the unexpected departure of Henry Cavill from the fantasy series, was announced at the end of last October, also revealing that Liam Hemsworth will take his place in the fourth season.
The Witcher season 3 will arrive on Netflix on June 29, 2023 (but will be divided into two parts)
Season 3 of The Witcher will be divided into two parts: the first will arrive on Netflix on June 29, while the second part will have to wait until July 27. The new episodes promise more monsters, magic, and chaos. The first trailer – which you can watch below – shows the return of Geralt of Rivia, Yennefer of Vengerberg, and Ciri, as they continue the training of the young Princess of Cintra in witcher combat and with magic.
But new evil figures appear to be standing in their way, including the ghostly Wild Hunt, who seems to make Geralt realize what “true fear” is. The official synopsis for The Witcher season 3 reveals that “While monarchs, wizards, and beasts of the Continent compete to capture her, Geralt leads Ciri of Cintra into hiding, determined to protect her newly reunited family from those who threaten to destroy her.
In charge of Ciri’s magical training, Yennefer leads them to the protected fortress of Aretuza, where she hopes to learn more about Ciri’s untapped powers; instead, they find they’ve landed on a battlefield of political corruption, dark magic, and betrayal. They have to fight back, put everything on the line or risk losing themselves forever.”
The big news already confirmed for this new season is the additions to the cast of Meng’er Zhang as Milva, Robbie Amell as Gallatin, Hugh Skinner as Radovid, Christelle Elwin as Mistle, and Hiftu Quasem as Falka, an ancestor of Ciri who is already been mentioned in the series.
