GoodBye (2022) Rashmika's first Hindi movie review Movierulz

GoodBye

Rashmika Mandanna is a star heroine in Telugu. They are also doing Tamil movies. Now entered Hindi cinema. Her first Hindi movie was ‘GoodBye’ (GoodBye Movie). It stars Amitabh Bachchan as her father and Neena Gupta as her mother. Released in theaters today. How is this movie (GoodBye Review)?

Goodbye Movie Story: Gayathri (Neena Gupta) closes her eyes due to a heart attack. Her husband Harish (Amitabh Bachchan) calls her daughter Tara (Rashmika) to tell her about this. She is a lawyer. They party all night in the joy of winning the case. The phone does not pick up. After lifting on the second day… Chandigarh will depart from Mumbai.

Harish and Gayatri’s son Nakul’s (Abhishek Khan)’s phone goes off. Can’t actually meet. Another son and daughter-in-law will come from America. Another son will come from Dubai. What happened from Gayatri’s death to the funeral? How are the relationships between family members? Finally, who has changed and how? is a movie.

Analysis (GoodBye Review In Telugu): Have you seen Sai Dharam Tej, Maruti’s ‘Every Day Festival’? When I watch ‘Good Bye’… I remember that movie in the middle. Yes…it’s true! Because… the story is the same. But… there is some difference in terms of story and characters. Similarities are seen in some scenes. Especially in the case of the eldest son’s characterization! Sathyaraj didn’t die in ‘Every day festival’. Neena Gupta dies in ‘Good Bye’. Keeping this comparison aside, if we go to the matter of how Hindi cinema is…

GoodBye

The movie ‘Good Bye’ is not a story… the truth of life! What is the life of a man? What is the behavior of others after the death of a man? It was shown briefly in two and a half hours. It has shown how the youth of this generation are dealing with relationships and kinship. An example of this is when a father gets angry with his son who orders butter chicken and naan because the flight is delayed and asks him to also order a beer.

Women in the colony who came to see the last sight, from discussing what to name the WhatsApp group to take selfies near the cremation ground… some scenes are seen somewhere in our society. If you listen to Amitabh Bachchan’s words to his son who is alone with his wife on the night after the funeral… the Telugu audience may remember the words of Bhadranto Rao Ramesh in ‘Prati Raji Pandage’ saying ‘War also stops after six’.

Director Vikas Bahl has handled emotions and humor well in the first half of ‘Good Bye’. One moment you laugh… the next moment you are in tears. Scenes like the American daughter-in-law wearing a black dress to go to the cremation ground made me laugh. In the second half, the story revolves here and there. Besides, it is not difficult to guess what the ending will be. After the interval, the drama increased in some scenes. Failed to balance emotions and humor.

Amitabh Bachchan, Neena Gupta, Rashmika, Pavil Gulati, Sunil Grover, and others covered some of the mistakes made by director Vikas Behal in terms of writing. Amitabh gave a wonderful performance in the emotional scenes. Rashmika appeared as an artist rather than a regular heroine role. Her performance is good in the scenes where she has a fight with her father and then in the scenes where she is close to her father.

GoodBye

Well done as a modern girl. Despite the scenes in the movie ‘Good Bye’… Amit Trivedi’s music touches our hearts. It seems that no one else understands the story and the soul in the story as much as he does. The songs and background music are good. Cinematography by Sudhakar too! Technically the film is on a high level.

What is the final say? : There are some touching scenes in ‘Good Bye’. There is also entertainment. But… something haunts us when we come out of the theatres. It is surprising to see a change in the children even if they are hesitant to follow the traditions till then. It seems that the story should be told more effectively. There is nothing new for the Telugu audience who have seen ‘Prati Raji Pandage’. Except the performance of Amitabh, Rashmika, and Neena Gupta! So, theatergoers think twice.
