All quiet on the western front: plot, cast, and trailer for the Netflix movie

One of the protagonists of the film is Daniel Brühl, an actor known to the general public for the role of Baron Zemo in the MCU and for that of Doctor Laszlo Kreizler in the Netflix series The Alienist. The actor plays the role of Matthias Erzberger, a German politician who sided against the war and was assassinated in 1921 by the far-right terrorist organization known as the Consul Organization.

Next to him is a choral cast, which gives life to the large group of young German soldiers at the center of the events told – as can be seen from the official synopsis of the film, which faithfully reproduces that of the novel:

All quiet on the Western Front tells the compelling story of a young German soldier on the Western Front of World War I. Paul and his companions experience firsthand how the initial euphoria of war turns into despair and fear as they fight for their lives and for each other in the trenches.

The cast, therefore, is made up of Felix Kammerer, Albrecht Schuch, Aaron Hilmer, Moritz Klaus, Edin Hasanovic, Adrian Grünewald, Thibault De Montalembert, and Devid Striesow. All quiet on the western front will be screened at the Toronto Film Festival and has already been selected by Germany as a competitor for the Best International Film Oscar.
