Secret Invasion is one of the new television projects that is part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe: the work draws inspiration from the homonymous comic crossover and the great event of The House of Ideas that sees the Skrull race slowly conquer the whole planet Earth, with these aliens who have taken the place of all the leading roles in society. Well this show, created by Kyle Bradstreet (Berlin Station, Mr. Robot), has precedents in Captain Marvel (2019), where the conditions had already been laid for this interesting narrative arc that will be developed within this series of the little screen.
Secret Invasion will arrive on Disney + in early 2023
Secret Invasion sees among the artists involved the presence of the well-known Emilia Clarke (Solo: A Star Wars Story, Last Christmas) in a mysterious role until a few hours ago. The well-known insider Daniel Richter, directly on his Patreon, as reported by Heroic Hollywood, seems to have revealed the part played by the actress. It would be the Skrull G’iah, which has a comic equivalent.
The character, in fact, debuted on the pages of Meet the Skrulls # 1 in 2019, with a particular weight: this special agent Skrull was selected to pair with agent Klrr, with whom she developed a relationship and had with him 3 daughters on Earth. All this cheerful little family has camouflaged itself on our planet preparing for a future invasion.
That said, Secret Invasion also stars Samuel L. Jackson, Ben Mendelsohn, Cobie Smulders, Martin Freeman and Don Cheadle, who return in the roles of Nick Fury, Talos, Maria Hill, Everett K. Ross and James respectively ” Rhodey ā€¯Rhodes. The other notable names, besides Clarke, are Kingsley Ben-Adir who is supposed to lend the face of the show’s main antagonist; Olivia Colman as an old Fury ally and then Killian Scott, Christopher McDonald and Carmen Ejogo. The construction, part of Phase 5 of the MCU, will arrive in early 2023.
