Jurassic World – The Dominion has succeeded in the titanic feat of outclassing the Top Gun phenomenon at the box office!
The new chapter of the Universal saga with dinosaurs conquers the top of the weekly box office, beating the fierce competition from Tom Cruise. Jurassic World – Dominion exceeds 5 million euros in revenues, placing itself at the top of the weekly Italian box office.
This is only his second weekend in theaters. Between 9 and 12 June, the final finale of the Jurassic saga grossed € 1,294,174, bringing its total to € 5,230,937. The most negative reviews from critics have therefore not stopped the audience from going to the hall. The film – which also saw the return of Jurassic Park star Sam Neill, Laura Dern, and Jeff Goldblum – grossed $ 140 million in America in one weekend.
Jurassic World beats Top Gun at the weekly box office
It drops to second place at the Italian box office Top Gun: Maverick, the sequel with Tom Cruise, which is a true phenomenon of this film season. Already a personal best for the Hollywood star, the film grossed € 8,566,712 in total, while this weekend (the third since its release) it grossed € 975,087.
Third place for the long-awaited anime Jujutsu Kaisen 0 – The Movie, in cinemas from 9 June and with a total gross of 632,582 euros (146,860 only on weekends). The film – dubbed in Italian – will remain in cinemas only until June 15th.
In fourth place in the box office ranking, we find Nostalgia, the film by Mario Martone starring Pierfrancesco Favino which, on Sunday alone, collected 37,153 euros, bringing its total to 1,100,252 euros. Fifth place for the second part of Outside Night, the series/film divided into two parts by Marco Bellocchio about Aldo Moro which collects a total of 100,740 euros.
