Ruben Fleischer, in a recent interview, seems to have dropped a bomb. Uncharted will arrive in cinemas on February 18th

Uncharted is the new film directed by Ruben Fleischer (Zombieland, Venom) which, after many troubles, second thoughts, and delays, is finally arriving in cinemas all over the world. The film project, which stars Tom Holland (Spider-Man: No Way Home, Onward) as a young version of the treasure hunter Nathan Drake, is the adaptation of a well-known videogame saga created by the developer Naughty Dog and launched exclusively for PlayStation, the console from Sony.

We already know that the creation will not be the only one to undergo this treatment: the television series on The Last of Us will soon arrive on the small screen, also inspired by a well-known videogame series that always sees Naughty Dog behind.

But there is no two without three, right? In a recent interview for Digital Trends, the Uncharted director himself admitted that he is actually working on a version of Jax & Daxter, the equally famous saga of Naughty Dog from PlayStation.

That said, the filmmaker did not specify in what form, whether a series, a film, or a documentary. Time will surely be benevolent and everything sounds strangely familiar: Tom Holland himself recently stated that he was interested in bringing the character of Jax to a live-action. Could things be connected? We currently don’t have the right tools to support it.

Uncharted is produced by Columbia Pictures, Atlas Entertainment, Arad Productions, and PlayStation Productions with the screenplay by Art Marcum, Matt Holloway, and Rafe Judkins. The cast, on the other hand, also consists of Mark Wahlberg as Victor “Sully” Sullivan, Sophia Ali who plays Chloe Frazer, Tati Gabrielle who lends her face to Braddock, Antonio Banderas (Moncada), and many others. The title will arrive in Italian cinemas on February 17, 2022.
