Spider-Man: No Way Home enjoyed huge box office success becoming the sixth highest-grossing film of all time.
The Spider-Man franchise has been fraught with off-screen complexity and difficulty for years, with a legal battle over character ownership between Marvel Studios and Sony. It is also a franchise that has seen three different actors chosen for the lead role over 14 years.
The 27th MCU film proved to be a huge box office success, with Variety reports saying the film has now grossed more than $ 1.69 billion globally (unadjusted for inflation) and as a result, it became the sixth highest-grossing film ever.
The film premiered in December 2021 and has so far grossed $ 721 million domestically and $ 970 million internationally, making it a hit in the UK, where it is the fourth biggest film ever.
Spider-Man: No Way Home was released in theaters on December 15th. Tom Holland, Zendaya, Jacob Batalon, Tony Revolori, and Marisa Tomei return to the film. In addition, the film also features Benedict Cumberbatch as Doctor Strange, who we will later see in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, directed by Sam Raimi, Jamie Foxx as Electro, as in The Amazing Spider-Man 2, Willem Dafoe as Norman Osborne / Green Goblin and finally Alfred Molina, again Doctor Octopus from Spiderman 2.
Spider-Man: No Way Home is directed by Jon Watts (former director of Homecoming and Far From Home) and produced by Kevin Feige for Marvel Studios and Amy Pascal for Pascal Production.
