India Lockdown

India Lockdown Review: Madhur Bhandarkar’s film reminded us of the lockdown, what a day those days were!

Weekend Film: If you did not see Madhur Bhandarkar’s style in Babli Bouncer, then watch his India Lockdown. In the film, stories have been woven keeping the lives of five characters of Mumbai at the center, in which the truth will be seen. You will also see something that will make you think twice before trusting it. The film has been released on the OTT platform G5.

Madhur Bhandarkar Film: The theme of India Lockdown is something you would expect from director Madhur Bhandarkar’s films. After a long time, instead of wandering here and there, he has kept his hand on the pulse of his time and has been successful to some extent in speaking.

The lockdown imposed in the country during the Corona period is such an event, which people will fondly remember for many years to come. Every household has its own story related to the lockdown and they too have no less stories, which have been rendered homeless by this lockdown.

Those who walk for many days and weeks carrying their house on their shoulders for miles. They will not be able to forget it for the rest of their life. Madhur’s India Lockdown focuses on five people on the same days, showing their parallel lives. Although three characters in it come from almost upper class, whose life was not directly affected by Corona or the lockdown on a large scale, the film shows their personal life here.

India Lockdown

Variation of lockdown

Madhur has told the story of Mumbai in India Lockdown. On one side there is the world of prostitute Mehru (Shweta Prasad Basu) and Madhav (Prateik Babbar), a roadside chaat vendor. As soon as the lockdown started, whose livelihood was lost.

On the other side are Nageswara Rao (Prakash Belawadi), Moon Alves (Aahana Kumra) and Dev (Satwik Bhatia), who live in posh flats of the multi-story building. Their problems are personal. Madhur has kept balance in all the stories and avoided excessive drama.

It has been their endeavor to present only the truth in their own style. Although the stories of all the characters seem familiar, the way Madhur showed the life of prostitute girls in Kamathipura, surprises me. Here he has created some such scenes, which will prevent those who cut the lockdown with the family from watching this film with the family.

However, apart from the track of one of the main characters, Prakash Belawadi, Madhur has threaded threads of sex in the remaining four stories. Due to this, the diversity of India Lockdown has been lost and this thing does not allow the film to fly high.

India Lockdown

Silver Lining

In the film, Mehru lies to her mother living in the village that she is a nurse in a hospital in Mumbai. In this track, Tipu (Sanand Verma), a pimp, deals with teenage Titli (Chahat Tevani) to an influential person, which will fetch him a good amount of money during the lockdown.

Madhur tells through Mehru that the poor did not lose their humanity even in difficult times. Whereas some of those from whom humanity was expected, did not lag behind in brutality. Similarly, the long journey of Madhav, his wife Phoolmati (Sai Tamhankar) and two children during the lockdown melts the heart. Pratik touches the heart in some scenes with his acting. Madhur has combined the story of Nageswara Rao with the story of Madhav-Phulmati, but it also looks a bit filmy.

Tales of a metropolis

The story of Aahana Kumra, Satwik Bhatia and Zareen Shihab perfectly reflects Modern India. This is a face of Mumbai. However, in this story, Madhur has tied the relationship with the thread of morality. While generally, he does not let his cinema be affected by such things.

There is no doubt that India Lockdown is much better than Madhur’s previous film Babli Bouncer. This is a matter of relief for his fans. These are stories of a metropolis and they do not include the whole of India. Despite this, the film brings us back to those days. The work of all the actors is good but Prakash Belawadi shines apart, while he does not have the support of any other artist in his story.

Aahana Kumra has played her character well and Satwik Bhatia’s smile attracts. Shweta Prasad Basu is undoubtedly the boldest and the most different one here. You will not be able to ignore them. If you want to see a glimpse of the lockdown days without the drama, then this film by Madhur Bhandarkar will not disappoint.

Director: Madhur Bhandarkar

Stars: Prateik Babbar, Shweta Prasad Basu, Sai Tamhankar, Prakash Belawadi, Aahana Kumra, Satwik Bhatia, Sanand Verma

Matti Kusthi Movierulz | Matti Kusthi 2022 Telugu Dubbed Tamil Movie Review in 4movierulz

Matti Kushi

Matti Kusthi Telugu Movie Review Vishnu Vishal has made a name for himself in Kollywood as a good producer and hero.

Finally, Vishnu Vishal made a name for himself in Kollywood and Tollywood with FIR. And to show his passion as a producer once again, Vishnu Vishal came in front of the Telugu audience with a movie called Matti Kusti. Let’s see how this movie is.

Matti Kusthi Movie Story:

Kirti (Aishwarya Lakshmi) is a wrestler. A rebel candidate. A girl with independent feelings. She dreams of participating in national-level wrestling competitions. But the father does not agree. Who will do the girl who wears short clothes and wrestles like this and all the relationships get spoiled?

Veera (Vishnu Vishal) has no evening to study. He roams the town without any work. A female should be under a male… He grows up in the type of saying that he should listen to what the male says. He is egotistical as a male. How did such a hero and fame get married?

Matti Kusthi

What kind of events will take place between the two after the wedding? What is the role of Das (Ajay), the wrestler coach (Shatru) in this story? Why is there a mud wrestling competition between Keerthi and Veera? Who won in the end? is the story.

Actors

Vishnu Vishal acted as hero for the first time in a story with mass commercial elements. Vishnu Vishal’s performance in the role of Panipataleni Veera is pleasing. Action sequences are also set well. He even smiles here and there. Keerthy’s role is the main attraction of this movie.

Aishwarya Lakshmi in that character will hook everyone. Aishwarya has acted well as an ambitious modern girl. In the action sequence, however, she showed a great attitude. Karunas, Ajay, Shatru, Harish Peradi, and Kali Venkat have also impressed with the scope of their roles.

Analysis

With the name Matti Kusti, you might think that this is a sports drama. But the hero said clearly in advance. Vishnu Vishal had earlier said that it revolves around the incidents between an average husband and wife. Wrestling is just a short line.

Director Chella Aiyavu has written this story on egos, quarrels between husband and wife, mutual respect, the way men see women in society, and the mind of women who want to suppress women.

The director has told through dialogues that man and woman are equal, man cannot survive without a woman, and woman alone can lead the world even if there is no man. It seems like a counter to all those who see women confined to the home.

Matti Kusthi

But the director chose a sports background to make this point. The same point has been made by many people in many different ways. But the director tried to give a bit of fun in mud wrestling. The first half is a bit funny with the atmosphere of the village, the hero and his friends roaming about in riots.

In the interval scene, Veera sees the true nature of Keerti’s wife, who is desperate for another wife’s family. In that interval scene, Aishwarya’s action, body language, and attitude are all good. Apart from that, the first half was routine.

He tried to give some emotional touch in the second half. The scenes where Veera learns the virtues of a wife and the virtues of a woman do not seem to matter. The climax seems a bit routine. However, there are mostly Tamil nativity scenes in it.

Dialogues also sound good. The dialogue of Keerti’s mother saying that he won without competing against you is good. The songs don’t seem to matter. Editing, camera work, and production values are all good.

Violent Night Movierulz | Watch Violent Night 2022 Hollywood Movie Review in 4Movierulz

Violent Night

Violent Night Movierulz: Santa Claus is better not to make him angry. A violent and silent night is an incorrect and entertaining Christmas cinema, with David Harbor in theaters from 1 December 2022. There’s an aspect of our relationship with Santa that we’ve always taken for granted and maybe it’s time to make amends.

Violent Night will take care of it to remind us, as well as fill in the blanks and do justice to certain dark pages in the life of a character we thought we knew everything about. Instead, it turns out that we didn’t know a damn thing, but after all, that’s what a good story is for. Alcohol, laughter, and smashed bodies. If that’s the formula, long live the new Christmas spirit.

To be released in Italian theaters on December 1, 2022, for Universal Pictures Italia, directed by Tommy Wirkola and starring, among others, John Leguizamo, Beverly D’Angelo, Alex Hassell, Leah Brady, and above all, in the part of the iconic, bearded and drunk (just a little) protagonist, by the universally loved David Harbor (Stranger Things).

Violent Night: Santa Claus is coming to town, but first make sure you’re on the good list

David Harbour, dressed as Santa Claus, between sips, defends a family of dysfunctional crackpots from the onslaught of a team of mercenaries led by John Leguizamo, the number one member of the Charles Dickens fan club, who don’t just steal the spirit of Christmas but are, shall we say, a little more prosaic.

If it is true that the strength of a film can also be glimpsed in the fact of being able to isolate its spirit in a few eloquent lines, Violent Night, stretched the Italian title but it was difficult to do better considering the bloody perfection of the original (Violent Night ), has won its match with the synopsis.

The premise, the atmosphere, the type of humor, the aesthetics, and the philosophy of violence, all combine to express an elemental and recognizable force. The film plays its game on the crest of a paradoxical balance: it attacks one convention after another (on Christmas, on the right way to tell it), relying on what has already been seen and already heard.

Violent Night

At the bottom of the story told in Violent Night there is a procession of broken hearts. The first is that of Santa Claus (David Harbour). It exists, even if much of the world has stopped believing in it. He is tired, slightly overweight, has several reindeer problems (professional standards under the rug), is depressed, and an alcoholic.

He seems to be the last person in the world to be able to deal with the Lightstone family Christmas problem, the disconnected matriarchy led by the very evil and very cynical Gertrude (Beverly D’Angelo) and completed by the knife relatives Jason (Alex Hassell) and Alva (Edi Patterson),

blood brothers but it ends there, the daughter-in-law Linda (Alexis Louder), the very stupid action star son-in-law Morgan (Cam Gigandet) and the grandchildren, above all the very sweet Trudy (Leah Brady). Trudy is a spectacular Christmas lifeline for the Lightstone’s. Another is the murderous rampage of Santa Claus.

There is one more reason to end up on the good list. Violent Night builds its house of cards by crossing three curious coincidences. Coincidence number one: Santa delivers the presents to the Lightstone’s around the time Mr. Scrooge (John Leguizamo) and his mercenaries storm the mansion, aiming for the money hidden in the safe and not too keen on leaving witnesses.

Violent Night

Coincidence number two: there is no cynicism that holds in the face of little Trudy’s innate goodness and propensity for festive / party-loving warmth, who by the way is smart enough to be able to get in touch with Santa Claus and drive his mission of blood, in the name of love and family harmony, it is clear.

Coincidence number three, decisive and in its own way providential: Santa Claus, on the verge of psychic consumption and half a whiskey away from oblivion, dusts off for the occasion a degree of homicidal perfection that not even an internship in the Russian mafia. Holy by name, not always, fortunately, in fact.

There are many ways to shoot a Christmas story, Violent Night knows this and is built by reworking numerous influences

We’ve always taken Santa Claus for granted. Assuming, we don’t know why, he would have been there for us regardless, to help us pick up the pieces of our tattered ego, covering up emotional flaws with a consumerist sprinkle and see you next time. We’ve always asked, never given and that’s the problem.

Santa Claus is tired because the world rightfully belongs to spoiled and conformist children because no one bothers to ask him how things are going. Violent Night tries to recover the authentic spirit of Christmas by looking for it in the most unexpected places and adopting the most reckless tone: bloodbath and incorrect humor, always within the limits of the package.

Aim at the heart of the characters to discover them all, from first to last, regardless of age-census-sex-psychology, bad, sad, abandoned children. And looking for a breath of human warmth. The magic of Christmas is a mystery born from the combination of two elements, the most important of which is the readiness of a young heart to believe, to believe in spite of everything.

The other is Santa’s credibility and charisma. Here is David Harbor testing his paternal but not patriarchal charisma; flawed, gruff, aggressive, and damn adorable. Much of the laughter in the film comes from the cumbersome physicality and fake alcoholic cynicism of the actor, the Santa Claus we deserve despite everything.

The film cleverly uses every variant of the Christmas iconography, the reindeer, the dress, the exclamations, the music, the gift card, everything, as long as it serves the (dramatic) purpose of a very violent and exaggerated action, so over the top that it be harmless.

Violent Night starts quickly, gets lost halfway, fills the dead time with a backstory about Santa Claus that is frankly superfluous even if extremely short, constantly pursues a pop irreverence and returns at the end with its welcoming and warm message. Reassuring, because his is an original facade, everything is already done and already seen.

Despite everything, despite the substantial paralysis of ideas of an entertainment industry modeled on the alienating rhythms of the assembly line, serial production, and the cult of replication, Tommy Wirkola directs a film proud of having nothing to add to the originals, cinematographic and beyond, looted to build the story and emotion.

Everything already has a home elsewhere: the irreverence, the humor, the action, the references slammed into the viewer’s face without too much taste for subtleties. And so Santa Claus seems to be shooting his personal remake of Crystal Trap (Die Hard), Trudy reworks a cinephile and extremely voracious passion for Home Alone, while everyone dances to the notes of a clearly Dickensian Christmas carol in the interval between shooting and another.

A reworking of ideas and cues from the past, Violent Night participates in a certain creative laziness typical of recent American cinema, but it does so without hiding and, above all, having fun. Will it be enough for a full critical redemption? Who knows, for now, it’s worth entrusting yourself to the mystery of the magic of Christmas.

Hunt Movierulz | Watch Hunt 2022 Telugu Dubbed Korean Movie Review in 4movierulz

Hunt

Hunt Movierulz: Lee Jung-Jae, star of Squid Game, presents at Cannes Hunt, a spy thriller that marks his directorial debut. After the success of Squid Game made him known to the world, Lee Jung-Jae decides to momentarily switch behind the camera.

The result is Hunt, his first film as a director presented at the Cannes Film Festival in the Midnight-Screening section. A work, as we will see in our review, with great commercial ambition and with an eye toward cinema and western markets.

Hunt rests his background in the complex context of the Korean peninsula. We are in the very early 80s, in South Korea, a recent coup d’état has brought about a change at the top of the country without however changing the authoritarian climate.

The suspicion of infiltration of North Korean spies among the internal forces of the country and of an imminent attack against the new president soon arises. In this context, the two protagonists move, senior security officials, who will have to find the infiltrator before the start of the new leader’s Asian tour.

Soon the climate will turn into a witch hunt without borders, in which everyone is a suspect. The protagonists themselves, played by Lee Jung-Jae himself and the equally excellent Jung Woo-sung, cannot avoid investigating each other.

A subject that can recall le Carré’s novels, especially Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy then transposed to the cinema by Tomas Alfredson and distributed in Italy with the title of La Talpa. A dark, tense spy thriller with a good amount of plot twists.

Hunt

For the viewer dry of Korean history, however, there may be some difficulties in understanding some references. Apart from the issue relating to the change of regime, appropriately anticipated at the end of the opening credits, there will in fact be references to other previous events throughout the film.

For example, the Gwangju massacre will be mentioned (and shown in part), already the protagonist on the big screen by the handsome A Taxi Driver with Song Kang-ho. In the same way, some references to relations with North Korea, the United States, or the strong student movements repressed with violence could be unprepared.

Removing the historical, social, and political context, Lee Jung-Jae’s is a film with a strongly Western imprint. Not only does the type of spy-thriller recall the European and American narratives set during the Cold War, but the whole staging evidently wants to refer to a cinema that is neither Asian nor South Korean.

Hunt is a fast-paced film with plenty of action scenes. A number of shootings and explosions for various reasons (very little circulation of weapons in the country) are unusual in South Korean works outside of war works.

Hunt

In staging them, however, Lee Jung-Jae does not refer to Asian models such as John Woo or Johnnie To but takes more of the cinema of Michael Mann and the great Hollywood productions as a reference.

The result sometimes shows a lack of control from the director, especially in a somewhat confused and perhaps too pyrotechnic final showdown. Equally lacking a certain type of characterization of the protagonists, the whole erotic, introspective sphere disappears with the progress of the film.

The time dilation typical of that part of the world is deposited in the search for an increasingly dizzying rhythm and the next twist. In one thing, however, Hunt is perfectly inserted in Korean cinema of the last twenty years, namely in wanting to show signs of relaxation towards the North Korean people.

In wanting to consider the people of the peninsula as unique, divided by governments (South and North) and by external interference such as the United States. Ultimately we can certainly consider Hunt an excellent debut work, not perfect and very stylistically marked towards the pursuit of success on the western market.

Repeat Movierulz | Repeat 2022 Telugu Movie Review in 4Movierulz

Repeat

Repeat Movie Review: Suspense thriller movie ‘Repeat’ starring Naveen Chandra and Madhubala in key roles. It is streaming on Disney Plus Hot Star. What is the movie? The same movie is also available on Amazon Prime with the name ‘Dejavu’.

If not… Naveen Chandra played the role played by hero Arul Nithi in Telugu. Everything else is ‘repeat’ as per the name. When it comes to the story… the characters in the story written by popular writer Subrahmanyam (Achut Kumar) threaten him on the phone in real life.

Subrahmanyam will file a police complaint about that. At the same time Pooja (Smriti Venkat), daughter of DGP Asha Pramod (Madhubala) gets kidnapped. She calls the police and mentions the name of the writer Subrahmanyam. The police are going to arrest the writer as they think that the DGP’s daughter is a danger.

But because of their objections around the house and the media, they are afraid to leave. DGP Asha is forced to deploy undercover police officer Vikram Kumar (Naveen Chandra) to save her kidnapped daughter.

Writer Subrahmanyam wrote on paper how the events are happening in front of the eyes? Who are the masterminds behind the kidnapping of DGP’s daughter? Who is this whole affair? How are you controlling? That is the climax.

Repeat

The movie was full of unexpected twists from the beginning to the end. The director has paced the story in such a way that the audience cannot guess who are the culprits of the kidnapping. Although it is a routine revenge story, the way the director reveals the connection between the characters is interesting.

The shades of gray in the key characters are also very convincing. In the movie Asantham, some character smokes or drinks. With that, the statutory warning movie continues to be displayed. According to the story, most of the scenes were shot at night. One of the producers and cinematographers P.G. Muttiah has created well.

Gibran’s background music is another highlight of this movie. Although this is the first movie for director Arvind Srinivasan, he was impressed with the gripping screenplay. It is basically a Tamil movie. It was released in the theaters in the month of July with the name ‘Dejavu’.

Along with Tamil, the Telugu dubbed version is also available on Amazon Prime. However, the director re-shot some scenes by taking Telugu actors for the hero’s role as well as some other roles. So it was presented as a Telugu movie, censored, and now given to Disney Plus Hot Star.

Repeat

Naveen Chandra’s entry as Investigative Officer Vikram was a bit late. But the movie picked up speed from the moment he entered. No need to show him as a chain smoker. Similarly, there is no relevance in presenting the writer as a green drinker.

Kannada actor Achyut Kumar, who caught the attention of Telugu people with ‘Kantara’, has given a natural performance as a writer in this. Madhubala acted well as DIG. In the Telugu version, Satyam Rajesh and Pooja Ramachandran acted as Naveen Chandra’s assistants.

Another key role was played by Sudarshan. Maim Gopi, Kali Venkat, Raghava Vijay, and Chetana are in both versions. No matter what the story behind the filmmaking is, the viewer will be thrilled while watching this movie in OTT. Even if the making values are not high, the story is interesting and engaging. Those who like thriller genre movies will like ‘Repeat’.

Masooda Movierulz | Watch Masooda 2022 Telugu Movie Review in 4Movierulz

Masooda Movierulz

Masooda Movierulz: After ‘Malli Raava’ and ‘Agent Sai Srinivasa Atreya’, the movie ‘Masooda’ was produced by Rahul Yadav Nakka. Released by popular producer ‘Dil’ Raju. As his filmmaking and promotional films were good, expectations were created for the film. In the current trend of more horror comedies than horror, this is a film made just to give a horror experience. How is this movie released in theaters today (Masooda Review)?

Masooda Movierulz Story

Neelam (Sangeetha) and her daughter Nazia (Bandhavi Sridhar) rent an apartment. Above them is Gopikrishna (Thiruveer). His job is software. Likes Mini (Kavya Kalyan Ram) in the office. He finds it difficult to propose to her. One day Mini comes to Gopi’s house. As the two get closer, someone knocks on the door.

The opposite side is blue. She asks to come to their house. He leaves the girl he loves. If you look there, Nazia will be possessed by a ghost. What did Gopi and Sangeeta do to get rid of the demon? Who is the spirit that possessed Nazia (her name is ‘Masuda’)? Who is the reason behind Masooda becoming a soul?

Analysis (Masooda Movie Telugu Review): Horror movies are mostly based on Hindu tradition. The difference in ‘Masuda’ is that… the whole story takes place in the Muslim background. In horror movies we see sadhus and aghoras performing pujas to get rid of souls. Even though Shayaji Shinde’s role in ‘Arundhati’ is tied with Taveeds, there are more Hindu Pujas in it too.

Masooda

But, as ‘Masuda’ is all set in a Muslim setting…Peer Babas perform pujas in the Islamic setting to get rid of souls, and show up in a mosque to exterminate a demon with an enchanted sword. The Muslim theme in ‘Masuda’… the way the scenes are shot is a bit new. When it comes to the story… that novelty is lacking. The way the story is directed is also normal.

In the first half, the director only used it to introduce the characters. There is a feeling that the story will not move forward. Though long, some scenes are impressive. After the rest, the real story started. The story seems normal but the scenes are good. The last half hour is suspenseful. Cinematography and music are the main reasons for that. The excitement that something was going to happen continued like that.

Prashanth R. Vihari made a name for himself as a music director with short films. He has fans for his melody songs. With ‘Masooda’ it is said that he can also provide music for horror films. His sound design is good in many scenes. His background music is also a reason for fear. The cinematography is also good. New framing and lighting appeared. Nagesh Banel has brought the desired feel to the horror movie. Build values are good.

How did the actors do? : Sangeet performed a settled performance. Grammar is shown in character rather than glamour. In some scenes, wearing hijab and tying cotton sarees to match the character, the look also feels new. Thiruveer looks like an average youth, a boy next door, not a hero.

Masooda

Acted according to the character. Kavya Kalyan, who has appeared in many films as a child actress, is Ram’s first film as a heroine. Looked beautiful. Acting is also good. The girl has all the qualities required for a commercial heroine. There is also a chance to do different films as an actress. ‘Shubhalekha’ Sudhakar, Satya Prakash, ‘Satyam’ Rajesh, and others adapted to the roles. Bandhavi Shekhar’s performance in the role of Sangeeta’s daughter is impressive.

What is the final say? : ‘Masuda’ is a decent horror film. The story is not new. But, the way the story is unfolded is good. Comedy is not made in the name of horror. Laughed in some scenes. Situational fun was created without writing a separate comedy track. Horror scenes are seen only to scare. Sound Designing, Prashanth R. Vihari’s music, and Nagesh Banel’s cinematography make some scenes scary. Due to the work of both of them, even the ordinary scenes have passed. The length is slightly longer. The editing could have been crisper. The film will appeal to horror fans.
